The Pole (post) type transformers monophase and triphase are used in the distribution nets of electrical energy in urban and rural areas. Their main goal is to make the final user to be able to use the electrical energy of low consume.

This type of transformer is of reduced size, that is why for voltages under to 75 kva, it can be installed in post. From 75 kva they have to be installed in H.

Dry Transformers (From 5 KVA until 1000KVA)

This type of transformer is applied to distribution systems, underground, generally used in residential areas, touristic developments, malls, hotels and in those places where the continuing of the service (just applied in ring system), the security and the esthetic are a specific factor. The counter has an opening in the lower part for the access of the low and high tension cables, and the connections to the earth system.
Lately, this type of transformer is also using in the small and medium industry, with the concept of compact substation, at containing switches of operation with charge and protection fuses of the transformer.

Power Transformers (from 501 KVA until 10MVA)

From 500KVA, the transformers are known as power transformers. They are used frequently in industries and commerce with high consumer demands.
The transformers can be manufactured for special applications, such as rectifiers, applications with K factor for the concrete industry, iron and steel, chemistry, paper, and other industries.
Their main advantage is they give a safe connection in the interconnection with other equipments and boards; in general in interior and exterior applications. Another important advantage is they can offer a high resistance in environments with extreme conditions.
